01 - The `Rents Reach Dublin

Hi!  I’m Geoff. This is a picture of me that my father took recently. I'm sure I'll have better ones posted during this blog.

These are my parents. Their names are Mom (left) and Dad. Really! I’ve seen their drivers’ licenses!

This is a representation of my wife, but she doesn’t allow pictures. She’s otherwise very nice!  As she claims to dislike it when I instead call her Wife #1, we’ll call her B.

While she is not Ethiopian, a large percentage of her consists of coffee.

The primary reason this blog exists is to because we're about to start a road trip around Ireland, where I live (for now,) and we want to let our friends be a part of it.

Also, in almost 80 years of marriage, this is the first trip for B and I together with my parents.  It’s also the most recent of almost *four* road trips - in about 30 years - B and I’ve taken together, all but one with Kid K (not pictured.)  This blog will be nice to have a memento for Kid K. to cherish if the trip results in a murder/suicide.

But first, we had to get Mom and Dad to Ireland and let them decompress, which means I marched them around Dublin for a day or two before we left for our trip.

My parents, who used to have quite a photographic eye, have not necessarily kept up with the (in)abilities of their camera-phones.

However, we'll try to throw away the bad ones and stick to some good ones.

I guess they should be topical and interesting, too...

By the time to leave for our trip, they were already tired!
